Illustrator Anna Bazhenova
" I've always been an artist at heart. I even worked as a media designer for a while, but have always drawn illustrations for my friends and family.
With the birth of my babies - my beautiful daughters - I opened myself to being an illustrator for children. In their eyes, I saw the need for a new discovery. My inner child is happy.
Usually, I create stories about funny characters and make the pictures of them. It's a magical journey to a special place, each journey a unique fantasy. Anything is possible in this magic world: You can appear in the fantastic forest with speaking baobabs or take a part in the squirrel's party!
Books: Frisky and Freckles
I like to recommend young moms from all over the world: read to children only kind fairy tales with decent illustrations. Do it even if your kids can read already."
Anna loves to illustrate animals and birds! Her illustration journey began with her drawing on her childhood bedroom wallpaper. After studying decorative and applied art, she worked as a designer for an advertising agency. Since that time, Anna has found her way back to illustrating and now illustrates children's books, postcards, etc. She's even started illustrating her own children's book, Winter Adventures of the Hamster. Anna lives in St. Petersburg, Russia, with her family - including a cat and a hamster. Oh, she likes tea but not chocolate!
